Living Hope

Based on 1 Peter  1:3-7

Weary hearts can find their rest,

though weighed by every test. 

What is beaten can revive 

for our Savior is alive, 

lightening every darkness, 

fulfilling each promise. 

Fearful hearts can find their peace,

Our anxious storms can cease. 

Let your heart no longer strive,

for our Savior is alive. 

We are guarded to the end, 

called and kept for Heaven. 

Broken hearts can find their hope,

 though deathly times unfold. 

Do not despair of your life, 

for our Savior is alive – 

Jesus, risen to glory.

We have a future joy. 

In this we rejoice, 

though grieved by many trials. 

In this we will hope, 

though tested by the fire. 

In you we will trust, 

In Christ our salvation. 

We’ve been raised to life

into a living hope.
