The Good of Today (A Poem)

A heart full of dreams
but hands full of ashes –
Life is too short
and you don’t get second chances.
Eyes bright with hope,
while the heart is sad –
Live in the good of today
and do not betray
the life you have,
even though it’s not the life
you wish you had.
